Originally established as a stagecoach stop in the 1800s, this historic inn in Erwinna, PA, underwent a complete renovation that carefully balanced preservation with modern comfort. The design respected the building’s historical designation, restoring character-defining details while enhancing the experience for today’s guests.
Sullivan Building led the effort with a deep focus on authenticity—restoring stonework, wood beams, and traditional finishes to honor the spirit of the original inn. The renovation expanded the property’s capacity and function, introducing a new bar area, a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen, and refreshed dining rooms that blend period charm with contemporary elegance.
Upstairs, the guest rooms were reimagined with refined millwork and custom furnishings by Cider Press Woodworks, providing intimate spaces that balance historical atmosphere with modern amenities. Every design decision—from handcrafted details to the selection of finishes—was made to create a warm, timeless environment that feels true to the inn’s legacy.
This project represents the highest standard of historic restoration: where thoughtful craftsmanship transforms a beloved local landmark into a destination that will welcome guests for generations to come.
